Macular Hole
A macular hole is a small break in the macula, the part of your eye that is responsible for fine detail and central vision.
Symptoms: Blurred and distorted central vision
Treatment: A vitrectomy is the most common treatment for macular holes. The vitreous is removed and a gas bubble is injection inside the eye to help close the hole. Positioning restrictions are required after surgery, but only for a short amount of time after the surgery.
